Coal hole covers
Also known as coal cellar or pavement covers are sturdy metal plates or hatches typically found on pathways or pavements in older urban areas. These covers provide access to underground coal cellars or storage areas once used to store coal for heating purposes. They were commonly used when this fuel was a primary source. Today, many coal hole covers are decorative and serve as historical reminders of the past.
We supply two reproduction high-quality cast iron versions, one solid and the other with ventilation holes. Both are ideal replacements for the old rusted, and damaged originals.
